Soft Flooring rolls on.....

Our soft flooring division is now firmly established and causing a major stir amongst clients, suppliers and competitors alike.

After 6 months plus in planning, the division commenced trading in March 2008 and has shown steady growth since inception.  The level of enquiries, and success in tendering, has meant that the requirement for experienced managerial staff has grown along with it.

In January 2009 we brought a new soft flooring estimator on board to increase the momentum of the growing division and focus upon the soft flooring enquiries that were starting to compete with the ceramics enquiries for attention.  Alex Gallon came in to fill the void; formerly with Durastic, Alex quickly found his feet and brought new clients and suppliers to the division, adding stability and continuity to the soft flooring estimating.

With the 18,000M² Roseberry Park Hospital project on site and new projects such as the Northumbria University Sutherland Building, Sunderland University Sports and Social Care Centre and Cobalt Plot 14 starting, we took the additional step of employing a new soft flooring contracts manager.  Stephen Richardson has joined us from New City Flooring and has instantly fitted in, adapting to Plunkett's systems, procedures and ethos with ease.

We now have a fully functioning soft flooring division, with a dedicated estimator and contracts manager as well as 8 directly employed fitters and even an apprentice.  We are not satisfied with that however, and shall continue to grow the division; the diversity shall give us a broader scope to maintain the financial stability of the company, as well as providing our clients with a "one stop shop" for all their soft and hard flooring needs.
