P Plunkett Tiling Contractors Ltd has recently been awarded "Investors In People" status for the third time
We were re-assessed at the end of 2003 which involved independent
assessors scrutinizing our training modules and personnel development
programmes as well as interviewing a broad cross section of staff
including Mr Plunkett the chairman, several of our tradesmen and even
Janice the cleaning lady. They had to satisfy themselves that our
business plan and employee relations reflect a company that cares for
all it's staff and believes that it's own improvement and the quality
of service it gives to it's clients depends upon inward investment and
progression. The re-awarding of our IIP status proves that we all work
hard for the good of the company, it's employees and most importantly
our clients
As a company we have been very busy over the last year, recent
prestigious projects completed include the much heralded 55° North,at
the Newcastle end of the Tyne Bridge, the revamped BBC White City
building, London and the Sage headquarters in Newcastle Great Park.
Visitors to the Metro Centre may use the new toilet facilities with
over £100,000 worth of tiling in each block and will soon see the new
Red Mall, where we have just commenced laying almost 7000m² of
limestone flooring.
Other high profile developments under way at present include the
2500m² departure lounge re-development at Newcastle International
Airport, NEDFAR's new pensions headquarters totaling over 7000m² of
tiling and mosaic at Longbenton, Newcastle and the new 34 bathroom
extension and leisure facilities at the exclusive Matfen Hall Hotel in
Northumberland.
We would also take the opportunity to introduce site visitors to our
new Contracts Manager Mr David Baker who recently joined our team from
O². David is settling in well and will soon become familiar with all
our regular clients. Welcome to the team David.
