We carried out the wall and floor tiling and render to the 50m pool, changing rooms, showers, external sports hall changing areas and the main reception and viewing corridors to this prestigious new sport centre in Nottingham.

All pool and floor areas were epoxy grouted using Mapei’s Kerapoxy grout, which was particularly demanding on the 100×100 studded pool surround tiles and changing rooms!  The main 50m pool was a challenge as it was rendered and tiled to a depth of 4m. Despite there being a floating floor, we were also asked to tile the 1275m2 main pool base, as an extra that had to be completed quickly, working in temporary heated tents due to site temperatures.

We were on site for a year in total from the start of the rendering up to hand over which is unusual for any tiling project. All pool tiles and changing areas by Spectile http://www.spectile.co.uk/ and the reception tiles by Domus Tiles http://www.domustiles.co.uk/.
