Parson's Tower, Newcastle College

Client: BAM Construction

Project Date: Spring 2015

This iconic building, standing at a gateway to the city centre, on the end of the Redheugh Bridge, was tired and badly in need of the massive make over that it received in 2015.  The Redbox Design Ltd scheme allowed for 440m2 of 600×300 porcelain, laid over a Schluter Ditra 25 matting, to the main circulation and refectory space on the ground floor.  There was a further 1100M2 of 300×100 glazed wall tiling to WCs spread over 11 floors of this enormous tower.  Despite the massive amount of prep work required, due to the back to the frame strip out of the existing, the end product was a quality tiled finish and a satisfied client.
