Project Splash, Butlin's, Skegness

The refurbishment of the pool hall and leisure pools was a major challenge in terms of logistics, programming, shiftwork and skills. Almost 3000M² of porcelain floor tiles and 3000M² of glass mosaic, with a mountain of steps, finger grips, wall tiling and preparation work, was carried out with superb precision and no little effort, by a squad that peaked at 26 men. Much credit should be given to Craig Biggins and his team, and indeed a letter of thanks was received from Simons Construction’s Project Director Kevin Lake. Butlins themselves were impressed enough to give us their Health Spa pool to complete (another 400M² of glass mosaic) as a direct consequence of the quality of our service.
