Domus Training Day; Very Very Large Format Tiles!

Friday 29th April 2016, Domus, together with their partners Mapei UK and Sigma, visited us for a training session with some of our site team on how to handle and fix the very large format tiles coming in to fashion now.  The guys demonstrated how to handle these huge porcelain sheets, and our fixers gained invaluable experience and direct training from the experts.  Getting to lift, manoeuvre, cut and fix in place 2400x1200x6mm sheets of porcelain, practice cutting, serrating and placing and ask all the questions necessary, should make our site teams more proficient in using this relatively new product. Initial doubting looks and reluctant attitudes were quickly replaced by enthusiastic participation as the myths and doubts about using the product were wiped away by hands-on experience.  Our thanks go to all our visitors on the day and to our own site teams for their enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge.  We look forward to working closer with Domus in this expanding market.
