Devonshire Hall, Leeds

Devonshire Hall is an impressive grade II listed building in Headingley, forming part of the University of Leeds’ student residential accommodation portfolio.  Plunkett Tiling was asked by Esh Facilities to formulate and execute a plan for the sympathetic replacement of an historic encaustic tiling panel that had over time deteriorated beyond repair.  Working with Craven Dunnill Jackfield Ltd, a replacement panel was designed in keeping with the sizes, colours and aesthetics of the original.  Our craftsman carefully uplifted and removed the old irreparable tiles, prepared the base ready to receive the new and installed the replacement panel to transform the space back to its former glory.  The photographs below show the original panel and the replacement on completion.
