Proving to be one of the largest projects P. Plunkett Tiling Contractors have taken on in recent years, phase one at Sandwell Aquatics Centre occupied the attention of a sigificant proportion of our skilled tradesmen throughout the latter half of 2021 and into early 2022. Acting as a ‘turn key’ subcontractor, Plunkett Tiling took on the vast majoirty of preperation and ancillary works as part of the project, including: rendering works to the centres three swimming pools; screeding works to all 3 pool tanks as well as a further 5000m2 of screed to numerous other areas of the buidling; the installation of over 650 linear metres of drainage channelling to the pool surrounds and changing village and specialist mastic works to the majoirty of the wet areas across the site.

Alongside this, 11,700m2 of ceramic tiles were fixed across the project to areas including, but not limited to: the centres 50m state of the art competition pool; the impressive dive pool; the vast wet changing villiage and the entrance foyer.
