Works are now well underway at our latest commercial leisure centre project, Maybole Community Campus, located in the beautiful Southwest of Scotland. Working alongside main contractor Morgan Sindall Construction & Infrastructure, a major critical objective on the project has been to prepare the concrete pool tank for the water retention test. In tandem with our supply chain partner Mapei (UK) Ltd, our skilled operatives diligently installed a series of specialist concrete repair and waterproofing products which ensured the tank passed with flying colours.
Following this, our team has completed the tiling works within the pool tank- in the blue and white of our host nation- as well as finishing works to an intricate pool edge, incorporating the installation of Wiesbaden channels, all provided by specialist supplier Spectile Ltd. Our site team has also installed some 750M² of Marmox tile backerboard in the facility’s pool hall and wet change village, thereby creating a purpose made, perfectly flat and regular background to receive the near 600M² of CTD Architectural Tiles supplied wall tiles.
Special recognition must go to our site team, who have created a simple but modern finish, completed to the highest of standards in not the most straightforward of situations, with over 200 M² of our tiling installed at heights above 3m! Keep up the good work team.
