Last week saw Plunkett Tiling commence works on the first of a number of new Lidl Supermarkets we have secured in the North East. This particular store is in Blyth for main contractor Taemar. Working with a specialist “slurry” product from German manufacturer Sopro and freshly laid screed, the team are laying the 15mm thick porcelain tiles using the vibrocompaction method of fixing. As the photograph shows, we are comfortably achieving 100% bedding with this method, much to the satisfaction of the Lidl UK observers.
