Starting on site in June of 2023 we had a mammoth task at hand which involved the refurbishment of the 25m Main Pool.
Since then, we’ve carried our various different processes and for a large chunk of our time on the job we were carrying out preliminary works which included; smoothing and repairing the existing concrete, waterproofing to the pool walls, floor and existing movement joints in the concrete which included specific detailing with sealants and bandages around keep the pool watertight. The screeding to the pool base was a bonded Mapei Topcem screed installed by our specialist screeding subcontractor.
Hot on their heels we began to configure our pool edge detail which would later house our grating support tile, fingergrip and pool grating, simultaneously wall tiling and epoxy grouting.
All waterproofing, screed, adhesives, and grouts used were specified, produced, and supplied by Mapei, all tiles were supplied by Ceramic Tile Distributors.
This has been a challenging but rewarding project to be involved with and has turned out to be another top quality job from our team – now onto Phase 2!
